Punctuation (2nd part)

Hello everyone! I know it's been a looooong time. I'm so sorry!

Problem was: falta de tempo! Mas, vamos que vamos que temos muita coisa para explicar por aqui, não? Continuaremos com aquele outro tópico sobre Punctuation (Pontuação). Já discutimos a nomenclatura de cada símbolo e definimos como devemos usá-los.

Now, veremos o uso de cada um no texto escrito. Para identificaçao, os sinais serão mostrados em red.

Here we go...

It was a beautiful Sunday morning and the Smiths went out for the famous family brunch. They stopped at grandma's house for a little talk. Actually, she didn't want to join them for the event. Mrs. Smith tried to convince her: "Come on, mom, it's going to be a wonderful time!"
What grandma didn't know was that the whole family was gethered together to celebrate her 90th birthday. Trying to save the party, little John Smith asked her the reason she didn't want to show up: "Why are you being so rude? Everybody is waiting for you, uncle Tom, aunt Mary and all your grandkids."
And turned out he could convince her. Grandma Emily got up, put on her best outfit, some makeup, nice shoes and went to the brunch party. 
When she arrived there, surprise! All her family and friends were together singing happy birthday. Grandma got so happy that she ate everything she saw and chated all morning long with her best friends. That was the moment she realized how loved she was.

Bem, tentei mostrar neste textinho os principais sinais de pontuação. Ainda faltaram o semicolon (;), hyphen (-), slash (/), dash (_). Para esses, exemplifico com frases:

They went to the grocery store to get some fruits like apples; green and red; grapes; watermelon and pineapples.

Students might take their mid-term tests by tomorrow.
